This MANSION TOWN HOUSE with workshop/studio from 1886, located next to “La Maison des Arts”, is built in Flemish neo-Renaissance style. Red brick facades enhanced with white stones, cast iron railings and original woodwork. This charming house was inhabited by the painter Emile Bulcke and has been entirely renovated with respect for its authentic character. The whole consits of 2 communicating buildings. The n°8 is composed of a three-storey main building, the last of which contained the painter's studio, now a splendid parental suite with an impressive ceiling height of 5,50m, including a sitting area and a private contemporary bathroom. At n°10 : a second building (1911) with three lower levels under a flat roof. This shallow building is set back from the roadway and is preceded by a very private enclosed courtyard.
